About the Job
- Senior Software Engineer will provide technical support to stakeholders in the organization
- Report on project statuses and developments to leadership and internal stakeholders
- Participate in requirements analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
- Write clean, scalable code using C# .NET
- Test, revise, update, refactor, and debug code
- Create unit tests
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and refresh documentation throughout the SDLC
- Design and deploy railway systems in operation both in the United States and abroad with travel of up to 5%
- Participate in team calls and coordinate design and development with cross-functional engineering team
- Reports to the Director of Engineering and works closely with the different engineering group to deploy practical and highly functional systems for railways
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, from an ABET accredited university or college
- 7 years C# software development experience
- C# fluency, familiarity, and experience with .NET Core
- Skill for writing clean, readable, and reusable C# based on SOLID design principles
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable Object-Oriented application
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision
- Sound understanding of coding and development processes
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Identify and handle technical risks and issues
- Strong critical thinking and root cause identification skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work well in ambiguous situations
- Strong inter-relational abilities
- Familiarity with JIRA a plus
- Scrum or agile certification
- 10+ years OF C# software development experience
- Familiarity with Python, Rust, or C++
- Rail Industry experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
