**Job Description**
U.S. Bank is currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to assist the organization in building and launching a Hybrid Cloud environment for use in new initiatives. As a member of the Cloud Platform Solutions team, you will be on the ground floor on a new Azure Cloud implementation for the company, with the opportunity to utilize your expertise to become a Cloud SME for U.S. Bank. **Responsibilities:**
• Work closely within the Development and Operations organizations to support the design, automation, deployments of infrastructure
• Maintain and transform traditional infrastructure deployment model to an infrastructure as code model with automation and monitoring.
• Design of cloud infrastructure using industry best practices
• Delivery of Cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives with a focus on Cloud migrations and deployments.
• Design, implementation and support of infrastructure automation utilizing standardized tooling and processes.
• Research new cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance
• Assess and compare cloud native PaaS with cloud-enabled traditional infrastructure
• Mentor existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption
• Assist developments teams with designing new applications with a "cloud-native" approach to application architecture.
**_Basic Qualifications_**
+ _Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience_
+ _At least 7 years of experience within a total information technology (IT) environment_
+ _At least 7 years of experience with the design, development and support of technology infrastructure_
**_Preferred Skills/Experience_**
_Extensive experience in:_
+ _Azure AKS_
+ _AWS EKS_
+ _GCP GKE_
+ _Kubernetes_
+ _Rancher_
+ _CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads_
+ _Automation_
+ _Configuration as Code_
+ _GitOps_
_SME in:_
+ _Containerized monitoring/logging platforms_
+ _Splunk/Otel_
+ _Integration with external API components_
_Additional Skills:_
+ _Love Upstream Kubernetes and continuous learning_
+ _Speak languages like Go, Python, Terraform, Ansible, FastAPI_
+ _Foundational expertise on Image compilation, and deployment of Containers_
+ _Excellent knowledge of service mesh, microservices, and resource management within a Kubernetes ecosystem_
+ _Strong knowledge of Linux_

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $108,545.00 - $127,700.00 - $140,470.00
