About the Job

Kforce's client in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help create engaging and effective experiences for online sellers. In this role, you will collaborate with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and designers to build high-quality products and features that empower our seller community. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. Key Responsibilities:

Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using PHP, React/Preact, and MySQL
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features for Company sellers
Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the Shipping Cost & Pricing platform
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Requirements:

Strong experience with PHP, React/Preact, Redux, and MySQL
Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with Memcache or similar caching technologies
Familiarity with Google Cloud Services (GCS)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
