Senior Software Developer
What does a Software Developer do at Fiserv:
The Software Developer role is central to the business mission of Fiserv. The developer will architect, develop, test and support the software components that implement the features and functions that differentiate Fiserv from other payment processors. This role requires initial and continued education on all Payment Card Industry features, functionality, specifications and standards. A mindset of heightened security is instrumental in the success of this role and Fiserv's technology solution.
As a Software Engineer on the BluePay team you can look forward to:
+ Being part of a global team building modern solutions on a well-established platform
+ Solving unique and complex data processing problems at scale with direct customer impact
+ Establishing a sense of ownership of all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, including feature development, quality and testing, code reviews, build and infrastructure automation, production deployments, and incident response
+ Helping to guide the future vision of the platform, including evaluation of new technologies, opportunities for integrations with existing systems, and evaluating impacts on high-level organizational architecture
+ Driving continuous improvements to both team culture and process by fostering a philosophy of openness and understanding
+ Adhering to Agile principals and best practices, including participation in common ceremonies like Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives
What you need to have:
+ Bachelor’sDegree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
+ 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
+ Solid proficiency in Java with a strong grasp of object-orientedprincipals, design patterns, and common frameworks
+ Experience building RESTful web services and APIs for a high-volume, low latency, cloud environment
+ Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GoCD or ConcourseCI using instance automation tools like Ansible
+ Working knowledge of UNIX Shell, Linux operating system, and basic networking fundamentals
Preferred Skills:
+ Working knowledge of common SDLC principals and exposure to working in an Agile environment
+ Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
+ Exposure to relational database systems like PostgreSQL and writing complex SQL queries
+ Experience with common software engineering/coding best practices, including code reviews, pull requests, design reviews, and test-driven-development.
+ Experience with automated testing and validation tools like Cucumber, Karate, Selenium, and Cypress
+ Knowledge of common security best practices, vulnerability detection tools, and incident resolution
+ Experience with software development with Perl
+ Knowledge of ACH or other related payment processing
