Senior Software Developer/ColdFusion Developer - GBS Solutions

GBS is looking for a Senior Software Developer / ColdFusion Developer to support the Secretary of the Air Force, Administrative Assistant, Information Management, Enterprise Business Solutions Division (SAF/AAIE). The successful candidate will provide ColdFusion application development and sustainment support. Secret Clearance Required.

Job Functions

• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software in ColdFusion, Oracle database, Structured Query Language (SQL), JavaScript, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML5), Cascading Stylesheets (CSS3), and Representational State Transfer (REST) (application program interface [API] calls)
• Troubleshoot and solve production problems related to software applications in a responsive manner
• Design, develop, test, debug, build, and coordinate the upgrade, conversion, and/or integration of products
• Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to multiple existing systems
• Communicate and coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, enterprise architects, and management to identify, prioritize, and implement application requirements
• Participate in Agile development methodologies and be proactive in identifying day-to-day project work and responsible for its completion
• Mentor, instruct, advise, and check the work of other software developers within the organization
• Use existing software development tools in conjunction with Agile methodologies, including Digital AI Agile development tool and Subversion configuration management tool
• Help evaluate and recommend application software packages, application integration, and testing tools
• Develop architecture and design artifacts, software user manuals, and training materials
• Assist with planning and configuring of existing architecture
• Support the maintenance of existing software artifacts such as requirements, software architecture, and test documents; maintenance evaluations; release notes; and build of materials
• Help application owners with their compliance activities related to application software artifacts such as system diagrams, software architecture, and network diagrams

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in ColdFusion, Oracle database, SQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and REST (API Calls)
• Experience in object-oriented and database-backed web application software development using an iterative software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile software development methodologies
• Experience in SharePoint Online application development using Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including tools such as Power Platform and other SharePoint-adjacent technologies

Skills and Abilities

• Able to work in a controlled, repeatable SDLC managed with Agile methodologies
• Understanding of Department of Defense and Air Force standards

Education / Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Secret Clearance required
