About the Job
About Spindrift
At Spindrift, we’re making every beverage a positive force of nature. Founded in 2010, we believe the best flavors come directly from nature. That’s why every Spindrift beverage is made the hard way—with real squeezed fruit, never from concentrate. From sourcing the best-tasting fruit globally to maintaining a carefully honed manufacturing process, we believe in doing things the hard way, the intentional way, the better albeit more challenging way, the right way – because, in the end, it's worth it. Spindrift® sparkling water is available nationwide, and Spindrift Spiked® hard seltzer is available in select markets. We are also a proud member of 1% for the Planet, donating to environmental causes. Spindrift is headquartered in Newton, MA.
The Senior Social Media Manager Role
Spindrift seeks a seasoned Senior Social Media Manager to join our passionate marketing team at our Boston-area headquarters. This role is critical to building and nurturing our growing community of "Drifters" and fostering meaningful engagement across social media platforms. The goal is to create vocal brand advocates by delivering an insight-driven community strategy, managing day-to-day social media operations, and managing a team of two direct reports.
The Senior Social Media Manager will help scale our high-touch social media approach to match Spindrift’s growth while ensuring our online presence exceeds our market share in terms of share of voice and visibility. You’ll provide insights from social listening and influencer campaigns to drive effective collaboration with the broader marketing team. This role is equal parts art and science and ideal for someone who has a strong command of data and knows how to translate information into action. While some consumer-facing copywriting and editing will be needed occasionally, this is not a content-creation role.
Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and implement a dynamic social media strategy to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and community advocacy.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in social media to keep Spindrift relevant and innovative.
- Manage the creation and delivery of monthly reports that include community insights, social listening, and influencer engagement efforts.
- Monitor key brand health metrics using social media listening tools, including online conversation volume, sentiment, and engagement.
- Maintain and manage Spindrift’s editorial calendar, ensuring timely publication of owned content through Sprout Social, leveraging data to optimize post timing.
- Collaborate with our internal Content team by providing tactical planning for the editorial calendar and outlining easy-to-understand creative briefs when necessary.
Community Management:
- Create and execute community programming that strengthens Spindrift’s social media presence and fosters deeper connections with our audience.
- Lead real-time social media interactions, including engagement and moderation on Instagram Stories, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, and our Drifter VIP Facebook group.
- Infuse the Spindrift ethos into all communications with the community, ensuring consistency across responses, captions, CTAs, and programming.
- Collaborate with the creative team to identify cultural and channel trends that inform content opportunities and community programming.
- Organize and execute social media contests, giveaways, and merchandise campaigns to drive engagement and brand loyalty.
Earned Influencer Marketing:
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers and brand advocates to amplify Spindrift’s reach.
- Coordinate influencer and affiliate campaigns that align with Spindrift’s values and community goals.
- Oversee the management of user-generated content (UGC) campaigns, ensuring consistent brand alignment and tracking impact.
- Support earned influencer efforts by developing lists, pitching, and monitoring campaign performance.
- Foster relationships with like-minded brands for cross-promotions and product exchanges as needed.
