The Senior Server Administrator is responsible for the management, administration, and maintenance of assigned server systems, ancillary applications and associated hardware that support the infrastructure of the Bank’s diverse and highly virtualized operating environment, as well as mentoring of team members.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manages resources across the environment; monitors daily performance and performs health checks; reviews and processes end user provisioning and administration requests.
· Develop methods to automate daily repetitive tasks
· Requires an in depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, System Center, Lync, PowerShell etc…
· Diagnoses, troubleshoots and provides technical resolution to performance issues and incident events related to the server infrastructure.
· Mentor team members on the latest technologies in order to advance other members of the team in their knowledge.
Competencies Required
· Solid understanding of virtualized server environments
· Strong technology and troubleshooting skills with administration knowledge of VMware vSphere
· Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP and Active Directory Sites and Services
· Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and convey information to internal and external parties who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.
· Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and prioritize workload in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
· Flexibility to provide after hours and weekend support on occasion to support business needs.
· Resourceful and highly adept at problem identification and incident resolution using experience and developed analytical skills.
· Possesses general systems architecture and engineering skills.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
· 10 years of experience in a technology support role with exposure to virtualized environments.
· 10 years of experience administrating or supporting infrastructure systems.
· Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.
Formal Education & Certification
· Associate’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent amount of technical certification courses required.

Working Conditions
