Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior SEO Strategist who is exceptionally skilled in data manipulation using Excel / Google Sheets, highly organized, and passionate about diving deep into data details. This role is crucial in developing data-driven SEO strategies and requires someone who thrives in spreadsheets and loves transforming data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Manipulation: Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze large datasets, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas. Merge and manipulate data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- SEO Strategy Development: Own and manage Keyword Research, Competitor Research, Technical SEO Audits, On Page Audits and Optimizations, Content Calendar Development, and Backlink Acquisition
- Content Optimization: Identify opportunities for content refreshes and new content creation based on data analysis. Collaborate with editors and writers to produce optimized content aligned with SEO best practices.
- Technical SEO Audits: Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits to identify and resolve site issues. Provide recommendations for on-page optimization, site architecture improvements, and backlink acquisition strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Own and manage client communications, including status updates, reporting, and support requests. Present data-driven insights and recommendations to clients with varying levels of SEO knowledge.
- Process Improvement: Develop and refine internal processes for data analysis and SEO strategy implementation. Stay updated with the latest SEO and data analysis tools and methodologies.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong emphasis on data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- 2+ years of SEO Account Management experience, including delivering data-centric insights to clients.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets Skills: Proficiency in advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas is mandatory. Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Deep Knowledge of SEO Practices: Expertise in Keyword Research, On-Page Optimization, Content Marketing, Backlink Acquisition, and Technical SEO, with the ability to leverage data to inform and optimize strategies.
- Experience with SEO and Analytics Tools: Proficient in using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. Experience in merging and manipulating data from various sources.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate data-driven findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into actionable strategies.
- Highly Organized and Process-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling and analyzing large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders across content, product, and development, using data insights to drive collaborative decisions.
- Strong Understanding of Digital Marketing: Familiarity with life-stage marketing and consumer decision journeys, with the ability to analyze data to understand customer behavior and market trends.
