You will lead the production operations in the Plant and delivering key performance targets (SQCDSM) in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, organizational morale. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented and is fully effective and you will strive to build a high performing organization.
How you will contribute
You will:
+ Manages change/ transformation change/ transformation amongst the Operating teams in the implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma phase journey, FoF-Factory of Future Line centric organization & roles (AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance and an integrated 6 star model within operating Line teams) to progress into Self sufficient teams. Role models Values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring and development of the team.
+ Support the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals in line with the site Compelling business need. coach Line Leaders, cascade & communicate the plans and targets to employees to ensure alignment and understanding around priorities, focus and KPI’s.
+ Lead and be Accountable to establish a strong Governance to Review, Control Operational performance and Continuous Improvement plan and embed a zero loss mindset to constantly improve and deliver against best in class both internally and externally. Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability and operating systems to deliver a best practice and reliable operation.
+ Support all Manufacturing standards, Governance, Compliance requirements (e.g. Corporate Quality, Food safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of conduct, Policies & principles, Operational standards, Local legal requirements, Internal Audit norms, & other procedures updated from time to time) are in place, understood by all, and is regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.
+ Lead and be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Manufacturing team - identify and implement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and builds capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Partner effectively with all multi-functional peers internally & externally (outside the plant) to achieve objectives, goals and KPI’s.

+ Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts

+ An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
As part of Manufacturing, you’ll use your skills, our systems, and a wide array of raw materials to help create the delicious, finished products our consumers love. While taking ownership in your area of work, you’ll also ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues while producing our top-quality products reliably and efficiently within our integrated supply chain.
As a member of the plant leadership team, this person will be integral in the roll out of our new product line and the development of our CORE Teams.
The leader in this role will:
+ Direct and coordinate the production for all shifts of the business unit in support of facility objectives.
+ Coordinate the operating budget process for variable labor, establishes KPI (Key Performance Indicators) targets, and directs capital investment planning for the business unit.
+ Establish and promote a total quality system that effectively produces quality products in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
+ Position the assigned business unit to meet total facility goals and growth.
+ Ensure that department employees follow all local, state, and federal health and safety rules and regulations including EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
+ Be responsible for the health and safety of all employees.
+ Lead the AM (Autonomous Maintenance) pillar and all training/coordination efforts in driving the pillar in the site.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage the efforts of operating teams of multiple lines or technologies across multiple shifts in the efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the product design specifications and budgets. Directly and indirectly manage a cross-functional team in the overall operation, including Activity Management, Capacity Planning, Machine standards, Maintenance and Engineering projects, Research and Development improvements, and Scheduling.
+ Advocate and actively support the site’s TPM initiatives. Participate in information flow and escalation processes as required. Proactively participate, drive, and promote, as well as coach directs and others in TPM and a continuous improvement mindset.
+ Proactively manage associate relations issues; guide and direct the hiring, training, retraining, development and motivation of Operations associates following team working principles with a minimum degree of guidance from their manager. Drive Associate engagement through a foundation of teamwork and individual accountability.
+ Assure the ongoing production of safe and defect free products consistent with the principles of Mondelez International. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) proficiency is required; this manager owns ongoing training and championing of quality goals and improvements at the area level.
+ Goal Setting and Measurement - Utilizing Operations teams, establish area performance standards and goals based on site goals and strategies; measure, control, take corrective action and report results as appropriate in all areas of responsibility. Annually assist in development of area budgets and KPI targets.
+ End to End Leadership – Participate with other managers in Planning, Sourcing, Delivery, Engineering, and Strategic business roles in the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies that will drive the overall supply pipeline.
+ Employee Development - With the support and participation of the site leadership team, evaluate employee development and performance. In conjunction with associates’ career goals, create development plans to challenge their potential.
+ Personal Development - Keep abreast of managerial and technical competencies both within and outside of Mondelēz International.
+ The incumbent of this position must be prepared to act on behalf of your manager in his/her absence, i.e., protection of human and physical assets, Crisis Management, conducting Staff Meetings, address public relations issues, etc.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science or related
+ At least 10 years of fundamental knowledge and experience within a supply chain environment; 2+ years of lean, TPM or L6S experience preferred.
+ HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) proficiency is required.
+ Ability to blend people into teams; creates strong morale and spirit in his/her work; defines success in terms of the whole team.
+ Proven experience in transforming manufacturing / production teams into high-performing, efficient teams.
+ Inspirational leadership skills to include comfort in change with the ability to lead change.
+ Passion for developing and coaching talent
+ Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
