The Role
We are looking for a seasoned senior sales hunter to uncover and close new business opportunities within large financial institutions on the Buy Side. Duco already services some of the world's largest financial institutions globally, therefore the successful candidate will be responsible for growing this footprint and unlocking new business opportunities within their target accounts & territory.
You will join a talented and highly motivated team of more than 200 Duco professionals across the US, UK, Europe and APAC. You will be organised, self-motivated, talented at cultivating long-lasting business relations, and confident engaging with C-level / senior executives. You should also have a strong understanding of the capital markets landscape, allowing you to successfully develop and execute on the regional sales strategy.
You will be targeting and working with some of the world's most demanding firms, therefore strong negotiation skills and extensive experience in closing large scale enterprise agreements on the Buy Side is a must.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing account plans and sales strategies which support Duco's business objectives
- Developing a territory with a diverse range of organisations and systematically working through the market to identify and follow up on new opportunities
- Sourcing, managing and closing deals with enterprise organisations
- Developing and maintaining a network of contacts and keeping up a rolling pipeline of 4-5 times your sales target
- Efficiently managing and updating your sales pipeline in Salesforce
- Accurate forecasting for your designated accounts and/or territory
- Proposing new strategies and tactics to prospect and close new sales opportunities
- Working in conjunction with the Solutions Engineering team in order to successfully complete RFI / RFP documents and deliver POCs / POVs for prospective customers
We are looking for someone with:
- 5+ years experience in software sales, in financial services technology, with demonstrable enterprise deal closures
- Proven sales pipeline creation, relationship building and closing experience
- Subject matter expert in FS back/middle office
- A track record of success in solution sales to complex global organisations
- Understanding of the North America Pension Fund operation space and key players in the technology providers landscape
- The ability to listen carefully, understand customer needs and build relationships at executive level
- Great presentation and communication skills, ability to influence key stakeholders and align towards the same vision externally as well as internally
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with post-trade technology
- Awareness of relevant financial market regulations such as MAS, EMIR, MIFID II, SFTR, trade reporting.
- Experience with formal sales techniques such as Miller Heiman or SPIN advantageous
