Intertek is searching for an Senior Sales Executive to join our Connected Worldteam in our Lexington, KY office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Sales & Business Development
The SeniorSales Executive is responsible for the growth of assigned key accounts as well as identifying and developing strategic new business opportunities. This position will spend at least 50% of the time traveling.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

- Achieve all sales targets, including quotes, orders, revenue, etc.
- Effectively research potential new customers and anticipate/identify customer needs.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to develop accounts with new customers.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to win additional business from key accounts through new contacts/services.
- Develop highly valuable relationships with customer contacts to ensure account growth and achievement of targets.
- Resolve customer needs, issues, and complaints in an efficient and effective manner. Provide superior service.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend and execute changes to strategic plans as needed.
- Present services to customers on a regular basis via on-site visits, virtual meetings, etc.
- Develop competitive and accurate proposals to win business.
- Update the CRM database in a timely manner, including all customer contact.
- Facilitate account transition between inside and outside sales team as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years successful direct sales and/or account management experience, including B2B sales experience.
- Must be able to learn and understand Intertek's service offerings and effectively articulate services to customers.
- Must be able to consistently close deals to achieve order and revenue targets.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to effectively influence client decisions and negotiate competitive deals.

- Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or other directly relevant field
