Job Purpose
Intercontinental Exchange Data Services (ICE Data Services) is expanding its global sales organization and looking for high caliber sales professionals to join its growing team. The main function of this role will be selling Data Feeds services.
The Feeds Sales Executive is a sales hunter who targets the buyers of data feeds, historical data, API, and solutions to participants in financial markets. The role comes with a remit to expand ICE’s Consolidated Feed business in the Americas through new logo sales and expansion. Also, the Sales Executive will work with existing Relationship Managers and other IDS Sales Executives to identify opportunities for upsell of Feeds solutions within the existing ICE Data Services account base.
The role holder is expected to be a content and technical expert in ICE Data Services’ Consolidated Feed solutions and also have a comprehensive understanding of customer use cases and market data/trading business in general (“Know Your Customer”). Client meetings, presentations, and preparation of RFP/RFI responses will all be an integral part of the role, as well as interacting with customers, internal business partners, and pre-sales on detailed aspects of the solution design.
ICE Data Services offers end-to-end solutions for information, analytics and connectivity used by thousands to inform their market and economic perspectives and decision making. Our Feeds and Connectivity business provides a suite of content and technology solutions to support price discovery and trading strategies, trade execution and post-trade surveillance through direct and low latency, multi-asset, market data feeds and trading infrastructure solutions.
The Consolidated Feed combines content from exchanges and OTC sources, including contributors and IDB, to drive multiple use cases across the front, middle and back office via low latency delivery. Clients include banks, brokers, prop and hedge funds, ISVs, corporates and IDB. The Feeds business has been awarded several industry titles including Waters Award for Best Low Latency Consolidated.
This role is ideally suited for a self-motivated individual who relishes being at the forefront of business activities and thrives on their own successes and those of the team. A strong communicator with a solid technical background and good knowledge of the market data and trading environment from a content, technology and networking perspective is required. We seek an aggressive hunter with polished sales, pipeline management, territory management and closing skills who is adept at solution selling and who is highly motivated with the ability to think on their feet, from both a business and technical perspective.
Responsibilities
- Exceed sales quota
- Manage territory and work closely with colleagues to identify and close new opportunities
- Manage and develop strong client relationships
- Work closely with the product and business team to provide feedback on any client, prospect or partner requirements
- CRM and pipeline management
Knowledge and Experience
- 5+ years sales experience with a focus on financial markets (specifically real time data and trading) and ability to consistently exceed individual sales quota
- Knowledge of trading ecosystem including, compliance, risk and post trade uses cases
- Intimate knowledge of the systems which consume real time data and support institutional trading
- Adept at the challenger sales model
- Strong presentation skills
- Competent CRM-Salesforce skills
- Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting
- Solid negotiation skills
- Track record of high close ratio
- Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, Exchange, or trading firm
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 106,000 - 166,800 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s rewarding and uncapped sales commission incentives. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
