Our company is seeking a Permanent Senior Revenue Accountant who is eager to use their expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, utility transactions, and vendor invoice validation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and enjoys working with a dedicated team to drive company success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of revenue recognition in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Process, review, and validate RTO transactions, power, and transmission vendor invoices for payment.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Conduct regular reviews of settlements and billing codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of tariffs and apply this knowledge in daily work.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
- Use the MV-PBS billing system to manage and track all billing activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the utility sector.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of RTO transactions.
- Proficiency in using the MV-PBS billing system.
- Solid understanding of tariffs and their application in the billing process.
- Proven ability to review and validate vendor invoices for payment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- CPA certification is a plus.
