Responsibilities:
As a Senior Research Scientist specializing in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) materials, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our research and development efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Research and Development:
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of innovative materials for IVD applications.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews and stay abreast of advancements in IVD materials to guide research initiatives.
- Utilize advanced techniques for the characterization of materials, ensuring their suitability for IVD products.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess the performance, stability, and compatibility of materials.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate the feasibility and performance of novel materials.
- Implement statistical analyses to ensure robust experimental design and reliable data interpretation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers, chemists, and product development specialists, to integrate new materials into IVD products.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research organizations to leverage expertise and stay current on industry trends.
- Ensure that all research activities adhere to regulatory standards and contribute to the development of documentation required for regulatory submissions.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the consistency and reliability of materials in IVD applications.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes to meet industry standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and research associates within the team.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and contribute to the professional development of team members.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field).
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in research and development, with a focus on materials for the IVD industry.
- Proven expertise in material characterization techniques, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for IVD products and experience in contributing to regulatory submissions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both within cross-functional teams and with external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, drive innovation, and contribute to the advancement of IVD materials.
