About the Opportunity
The Research department has an immediate opening for a Senior Research Business Technology Analyst to provide oversight of the department’s critical technology processes and serve as a primary liaison between the Research department and System and District Information Technology functions on technology initiatives, including the Federal Reserve System Committee on Research Automation and the National IT Research Business Development group.
What You Will Do:
In this role, the senior analyst will translate business needs into potential technology solutions and partner with Information Technology teams to further identify and implement solutions. This includes the use of new software and the implementation of new systems and tools. This role will also oversee issue management related to existing technology, performing complex analyses of technology-related information to troubleshoot and resolve major technical business issues and proactively search for and recommend sustainable technology-based solutions. The senior analyst will engage with staff across the department to understand business processes and partner successfully with System and District Information Technology teams. The senior analyst will serve as the primary representative in Research-specific System groups to understand the technology direction of the Research community and will leverage their technical expertise and understanding of the business to proactively assess potential opportunities or implications for the Richmond Research department.
The Senior Research Business Technology Analyst will also provide business line oversight for two core Research business processes/systems: Information Security and the departments use of Salesforce. As it relates to Information Security, the senior analyst will ensure all required processes are executed and documented in partnership with the Bank’s Information Security team. For Salesforce, the senior analyst will oversee business processes, including data management, training, department communications, and partnering with the Salesforce team within Information Technology on system modernization projects. Importantly, the senior analyst will establish and maintain processes to collect regular input from system users, prioritize system requests, and liaise with the Salesforce team on functional issues and requests. The senior analyst will also keep users apprised of any system changes, features, and training that may advance utilization. This aspect of the role is approximately 50 percent of the senior analyst’s responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 9+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Acute analytical and technical ability; strong working knowledge of statistical and programming software and computing platforms
- Broad knowledge of the principles of data collection and analysis, business requirements, process improvement criteria, and performance metrics review techniques
- Strong project and process management capabilities
- Acute attention to detail with a high level of data integrity and accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with various other online applications, as needed for the role
- Familiarity with Salesforce and customer relationship management solutions

- The hiring range is $90,000 – $123,750 annually.
