Job Description
The Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist will execute plate-based assays in support of process development as well as for characterization and release of autologous and allogenic cell therapies which are undergoing clinical trials, including CAR T cell products. The Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist will be able to execute and analyze experiments with some oversight that lead to the development of robust analytical methods. The Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist will have the responsibility for executing and developing highly impactful methods, including QC methods for lot release testing, as well as characterization methods that support process development and comparability assessments. These methods will be used for further understanding of cell therapies, support development of the manufacturing processes, and/or QC release of the drug product. The Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist will have hands-on experience in assay development and will be interested in projects requiring close collaboration with other groups, such as discovery research, product sciences, process development, and QC. The Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist will be passionate about developing Client medicines, thrive in an intellectually challenging environment, and enjoy collaborating with a team of like-minded Scientists. Title will be commensurate with experience.
Experience:
• 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with ligand binding assays (e.g., ELISA, MSD, AlphaLISA, Simple Plex).
• Proven experience with data analysis and interpretation using software (e.g., Softmax Pro, Gen5, MSD (Mesoscaldiscovery) Workbench, Excel, ELNs).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with frequent changes in priorities, flexible.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute ligand binding type assays
• Ability to execute experiments with limited guidance and supervision
• Maintain meticulous laboratory notebooks
• Manage routine sample analysis requests
• Present data to Team (Power Point Presentations)
• Help author, review and approve technical documents, including methods, protocols, reports, and SOPs
• Understand of ICH/FDA/EMEA best practices and current thinking.
• Facilitate smooth operation of the laboratory, including ordering, assisting in the cryopreservation of cellular material, sample management, etc.
The hourly rate for this position is between $38- $41 per hour.
