We are seeking a seasoned Senior Regional Sales Director to lead and drive our sales efforts in the Southwestern region. This pivotal role involves managing an established and high-performing team, setting strategic directions, and achieving revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a sales team by example, fostering a culture of success.
- Regional Performance: Ensure business performance and achieve revenue targets within the Southwestern region.
- Strategic Planning: Develop, maintain, and implement a regional business plan aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Sales Growth: Identify and expand sales opportunities with both new and existing enterprise customers.
- Account Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with major accounts, coordinating resources such as product and sales engineering support.
- Customer Communication: Ensure timely follow-up and communication with customers and partners, meeting their expectations consistently.
- Channel Strategy: Develop and manage a regional channel strategy, optimizing the channel model for the Southwest.
- Team Collaboration: Work within a team environment to maximize revenue and ensure customer success.
- Accurate Forecasting: Provide precise sales forecasts using Salesforce.
- Innovative Solutions: Apply innovative problem-solving approaches to enhance organizational capabilities and identify new sales opportunities.
- Product Strategy: Collaborate with Product Managers to develop long-term strategies for product expansion and customization to meet customer needs.
- Cross-Functional Representation: Represent sales on cross-functional teams, interfacing with R&D, production, and manufacturing to develop or enhance products.
- Market Insight: Provide relevant market and competitive information to the organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Over 15 years in technology sales, including 3+ years in first-line management of a quota-carrying team.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in hiring and leading successful teams, consistently achieving sales goals.
- Regional Expertise: Experience in developing and executing sales strategies for the Southwestern area.
- Enterprise Sales: Proven experience selling to large enterprises in the region.
- Channel Development: Strong background in building and managing a channel model for the Southwest.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in complex security, networking, and cloud-based IT solutions.
- Partnerships: Experience with alliance and technology ecosystem partners.
- Forecasting: Strong ability to forecast commitments accurately.
- Initiative: A proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and can scale with the company.
- Startup Environment: Ability to thrive in a startup environment and rally sales support from teams based at HQ.
- Team Orientation: Strong team orientation and mentorship skills.
Compensation: Base salary 170-220K OTE 420K+
