Position Overview:
Spectrum has a reputation for identifying world-class candidates for our clients. Due to the recent promotion of one of our most senior and skilled recruiting directors, the firm is seeking their replacement. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the founding partners and some of the firm’s most senior-level work. As a Senior Recruiting Director, you will collaborate with the partners and own the candidate/recruiting process end to end. This will include identifying, engaging, persuading, evaluating, and recruiting senior-level candidates who are the very best in their respective fields. Your workload and search assignments will depend on your capability and ability to adapt your experience to our organization and the excellence that our clients expect.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Construct recruiting strategies, identify the most efficient and impactful execution tactics, and drive success within your assignments
- Use your experience and creativity to research, comprehend, and articulate our client’s value proposition to potential candidates
- Directly recruit passive candidates through a targeted, focused, and omni-channel approach. Identify, persuade, and evaluate candidates that fit the domain relevance and key criteria for searches
- Work closely with the Partners and search team to provide market research and other support to successfully complete retained searches
- Constantly look for new or additional ways to recruit candidates that allow Spectrum to have access to candidates other firms can’t or won’t have
- Correspond with private equity clients, portfolio companies, and senior-level candidates via email, LinkedIn, phone calls, zoom/teams, and/or in-person meetings
- Master and utilize our various cloud-based software systems and tools
- Help to ensure that Spectrum’s internal CRM is up to date with the latest search information, including candidate details, status, resumes, and compensation information
- Assist in developing materials that support the search process (Position Profiles, Scorecard Assessments, Active Candidate Reports, and Meeting Recap Notes)
- Provide vital background information on prospects and potential new clients
- Develop Competitive Intelligence and Private Equity industry research
- Other ad-hoc projects as needed
Skills and Position Requirements:
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in a retained search firm or other high-level recruitment role required
- Must have expertise recruiting C Suite and high-level VP roles. Strong preference for those who have recruited CFOs and CEOs
- Strongly prefer experience with private equity clients
- Ability to devise effective recruiting strategies and then implement the necessary tactics for impactful execution
- Possesses significant horsepower and is capable of managing several projects concurrently
- Exceptional ability to persuade candidates and clients to achieve successful outcomes
- Extensive experience utilizing diverse recruiting methods, resources, and tools to drive results through multiple sources and have the breath to reach your target audience in a variety of ways
- Extremely strong with technology tools such as LinkedIn, Pitchbook, ATS, CRM, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Positive and enthusiastic disposition with a desire to develop a long-term, successful career
- Brings a self-starter mentality– must be reliable and able to meet deadlines (“do whatever it takes”)
- Must take pride in doing top quality work, brings a “strive for excellence” philosophy
- Intensely curious – must have a love for continuous learning about businesses and their industries, along with the understanding that the right talent drives outcomes
- Must be highly organized and able to multi-task, handle pressure situations, and communicate with sophisticated individuals (strong written and verbal communication skills)
- A collaborative team player with an honest and ethical mindset is critical
- Strong understanding of the latest technology platforms to support a remotely driven environment (social media, office productivity products, cloud solutions)
- Prior experience in a sports program or team environment is highly preferred
Education:
- Four Year Undergraduate Degree required
Travel:
- Limited travel is possible
Compensation:
- Competitive Base Salary along with monthly Commissions and eligibility for year-end Bonus
