The Systems Engineer is responsible for: Analyzing customer specifications, industry standards, and local processes to develop design requirements
Managing the design technical solution, adhering to the input requirements
Managing and implementing requirements changes
Leading collaborative problem solving that balances risk, time, cost
Providing technical solutions and estimates for change orders
Analyzing and mitigating design risks
Interfacing and guiding electrical hardware and software engineering professionals to execute the work
Preparing, submitting, and defending design documentation with external customers
Occasionally acting as an overall Project Engineer on smaller projects
The position's minimum requirements are: 8-15 years' experience in a requirements management position
Experience (desired) or familiarity (minimum) with requirements design tools such as DOORS, Jazz, MS Excel, others
BS Engineering degree
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Practical experience working in collaborative teams with 1-5 engineers under direction of a senior Project Engineer
