We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Inspector for our clients Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quality Inspector, your primary duties will include:
1. Performing regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
2. Rejecting all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
3. Reading blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
4. Measuring product dimensions, examining functionality and comparing the final product to the specifications.
5. Recommending improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
6. Documenting inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
7. Teaching the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
8. Supervising the production process to ensure that all products meet quality expectations.
9. Regularly inspecting machinery and equipment to identify any defects or malfunctions.
10. Participating in routine safety audits as part of the overall quality control process.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role.
3. Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
4. Working knowledge of the tools, equipment, and procedures used in the inspection process.
5. In-depth understanding of the manufacturing process and product lifecycle.
6. Excellent knowledge of mathematics and data analysis.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
9. Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
11. Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
