Job Description

Scope:

Maintain ownership of software QA process through the complete E2E lifecycle of testing, remediation, reporting, resources, and schedule to meet Product release requirements
Develop effective test plans for all releases including new applications, and feature deployments and bug fixes to existing applications
Work closely with application developers, DevOps engineers, project managers, and other individuals to build and review test plans and ensure appropriate test coverage
Execute test plans and test cases to support verifications and software releases
Document test results by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing findings in a thorough and professional manner
Communicate test results and ongoing needs to the team, including management
Write reproduction procedures for any anomalies encountered
Perform root cause analysis and recommend remediation for any defect(s) found in cooperation with application developers and DevOps teammates
Maintain 100% readiness of QA equipment and QA test environment, and coordinate the acquisition of test equipment
Proactively suggest and implement improvements to test processes and procedures
Create QA test scripts and/or configure software testing tools to automate software testing
Ensure the continual success of processes by providing clear documentation of QA resources, setup, procedures, and results
Participate in SCRUM Agile meetings

Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance professional testing web and mobile applications
Experience performing manual and automated software testing activities using established testing tools
Experience writing test scripts to validate new business requirements and existing system functionality
Experience testing applications that are deployed and configured in multiple environments
Strong understanding of QA processes and methodologies in a software development environment
Ability to communicate (read, write and speak) professionally

Bonus Skills:

Prior development experience in any programming language
Knowledge of one or more Test Management Tools (e.g. MS Test Manager or Quality Center)
Experience with one or more automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, BDD)
Experience with one or more performance/load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, MS Performance and Load)
Testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB, ASTQB)
Experience leading QA teams or employees
