Job Title: Senior Python Data Developer
Location: Baltimore, MD

Open to fully remote candidates ? Yes, if they have the right skillset would need to be a great fit with cloud and finance experience
Interview Process : 30 min phone screen > remote programming test (usually takes 30 mins to an hour) > panel interview

The successful candidate will provide architecture, design, and implementation expertise as part of a cross-functional team. You will play a key role in supporting and modernizing existing processes using modern cloud-based solutions as part of a multi-year roadmap:

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with your team to develop an innovative data products portfolio consistent with the target state architecture and operating model
Collaborate with your global colleagues to deliver new initiatives
Drive improvements to the engineering team processes through shaping of tools and standards
Evaluate and make decisions around dataset implementations designed and proposed by peer data engineers
Ensure the validity and accuracy of security-level analytics within the portfolio management and analytics systems, driving consistency and transparency
Devise innovative ways to enhance our systems and to make our data-related processes more efficient
Qualifications
Proficient in Python handlers, data transformations,
Working knowledge of core AWS technologies, including EC2, S3, and Lambda
Understanding and experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres, etc.)
Proficient on Linux platforms
Nice to have:
Experience of front office software development withAsset Management, hedge fund or investment bank
Experience building containerized applications and deploying to public or private clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar providers.
Education
Strong academic record and BS in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related technical degree
