As a Permanent Senior PV Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on ground-breaking solar technology projects. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on our mission to provide renewable energy to everyone, everywhere. The Senior PV Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is not only technical, as it also involves strategic planning, project management, and coordination with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for photovoltaic (PV) projects.
2. Evaluate and improve existing PV designs to enhance performance and reduce cost.
3. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
5. Conduct system modeling and simulation using software such as WinIgs to optimize system performance.
6. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
7. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of PV systems.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in PV technology and incorporate them into designs where appropriate.
10. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in PV system design and development.
3. Proficient in the use of WinIgs or equivalent software for system modeling and simulation.
4. Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership.
5. In-depth knowledge of PV technology, including modules, inverters, and balance of system (BOS) components.
6. Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
7. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
10. Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
