Overview
Senior Property/Casualty Actuarial Analyst Objective
To maintain and/or develop actuarial programs, spreadsheets, reports, models, and supporting information for preparation of specific ratemaking, financial reporting, product development, competitive intelligence, and regulatory and analytical tasks. To serve on corporate project teams.
Responsibilities
Senior Property/Casualty Actuarial Analyst Responsibilities
Compile financial and statistical data to be used in the pricing of the company's property/casualty (P/C) lines. Analyze such data using spreadsheets, databases, reporting and other software. Oversee the evaluating, testing, balancing and updating of related databases.
Prepare competitive exhibits and monitor competitive rate activity.
Prepare rate proposals and other reports for senior-level management and board reports for the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Senior Property/Casualty Actuarial Analyst Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics or actuarial science.
Three years P/C actuarial experience required.
Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required.
Preferred: Experience in pricing and multivariate analysis preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word and Excel) preferred.
Completion of at least four actuarial exams preferred.
