We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of Permanent Senior Property Accountant within our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of a portfolio of properties, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial reporting process for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the real estate or finance industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with property management software is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
