Opportunity Overview:
Are you ready to take the next step in your career journey? We're currently seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes for multifamily properties.
Location:
This position offers a hybrid/remote work arrangement, with our primary office based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Occasional travel to Indianapolis may be required for training purposes.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET.
Employment Status:
Full-time, exempt, salaried position.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
- Assist in developing property budgets
- Prioritize and solve complex financial issues
- Implement process automation where possible
- Provide exceptional internal customer service
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statement packages, including bank reconciliation and journal entries
- Collaborate with Property Managers on annual property budgets and variance reports
- Ensure timely processing of debt, reserve requests, and owner distributions
- Monitor and maintain cash balances as per client requirements
- Act as a liaison between Accounting and Property Management teams
- Resolve tenant ledger and accounts receivable issues
- Adhere to internal accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate property transitions and assist auditors as needed
- Conduct financial analysis and develop relevant reports
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 or more years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Real Estate accounting software (Yardi preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
