About the Job
Reports To: Director, Client Accounting
Primary Function: Maintain financial statements for commercial and multifamily real estate properties
Education: BS Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Minimum five years' work-related experience
Qualifications: Accounting experience including financial statement reporting, bank reconciliations and journal entries. Strong excel and accounting system skills are required. Real estate experience a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements & supporting schedules
- Practical understanding of accounting principles
- Monthly bankreconciliations, research and resolve reconciling items
- Mortgage escrow account reconciliations
- Journal entries, includingaccruals, depreciation andamortization, etc.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Record transactions from a closing statement
- Calculate distributions toowners
- Monitor cash flow and accountspayable
- Validate/calculate monthly management fee calculation
- Assist owners with year-end audit/taxreporting
- Assist with the onboarding of new properties, record activity from prior manager, monitor utility, mortgage, and other sensitive vendor
- Monthly bank reconciliations for master accounts and resolution of reconciling items
- Special projects
- Train and support accounting team members
