Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Substation/Converter Station Construction

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects for substations and converter stations. Based in Salt Lake City, UT, this full-time role requires a driven leader with at least 8 years of experience in construction project management within the energy or utility sectors. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead the entire project lifecycle from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and closeout of substation and converter station construction projects.
• Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and schedules; ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
• Risk & Quality Management: Identify potential risks and establish mitigation strategies; maintain quality control and assurance standards throughout project execution.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to meet project specifications and timelines.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project team members; foster a collaborative and safety-first culture.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards; maintain detailed project records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in project management within substation, converter station, or related construction projects in the energy sector.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Skills: Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects; strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations; excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Certifications: PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
