We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on significant land development and public works projects throughout the Los Angeles and Ventura County region. As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage and oversee project teams, ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients and public agencies. Your role will involve both leadership and technical expertise, with responsibilities ranging from project design and management to client interaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project teams including engineers, designers, and support staff.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and manage contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
- Interface directly with clients and public agencies, ensuring effective communication and project outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor engineering design teams and junior staff.
- Conduct site assessments and manage engineering design studies, incorporating infrastructure needs and regulatory considerations.
- Prepare and process regulatory plans and public improvement plans in support of public agencies and capital improvement projects.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of land development plans and public works projects.
- Ensure the successful preparation, processing, and approval of plans through local agencies, including Los Angeles and Ventura County Public Works.
- Perform constructability reviews and support construction services for project execution.
- Demonstrate expertise in technical design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects, and Bluebeam.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field.
- California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works or the equivalent of 12 years of industry experience.
- At least 8 years of managerial experience supervising engineers, designers, and project support staff.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.
- Extensive experience in managing project schedules, budgets, and contracts.
- Proficient in preparing, processing, and reviewing public works and land development plans.
- Expertise in interacting with clients, public agencies, and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to assess site conditions and manage engineering design studies.
- Thorough understanding of jurisdictional processing and regulatory requirements.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects, and Bluebeam.
