Our multi-disciplined team performs assessments of existing buildings to diagnose performance issues and structural damage. Next, we provide repair scopes and design documents to effectively restore buildings. Then, we provide bidding and pre-construction services, work closely with contractors, and provide contract administration to guide owners through the repair process. We specialize in residential and commercial building envelope work ranging from apartments and condominiums to commercial and high-end residential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a full-time experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our complex projects. In this role, you'll take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, providing strategic direction, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of all project objectives. As a Senior Project Manager, you will also play a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members while contributing to the growth and success of the firm. This position is ideal for a seasoned project management professional with 5+ years of experience in building envelope consulting who excels in leadership and client management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the lifecycle of large-scale, complex remediation projects and building investigations ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Provide strategic direction to project teams, aligning project goals with client and organizational objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits, inspections, and quality control checks.
- Review and evaluate construction documents to determine scope and code conformance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations across all projects.
- Prepare and review scopes of work for remediation and/or design documents for repair of existing structures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Communicate technical ideas and conditions accurately to diverse audiences using industry vocabulary as well as layman's terms.
- Drive business development efforts, identify new project opportunities, and contribute to proposal development.
- Mentor and guide other project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, industry conferences, and other professional settings.
Education and Experience Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in relevant project management roles, preferably within the building consulting industry. Direct background and experience with residential and/or commercial building forensics, compliance and investigations. Typically holds a degree in a relevant field and/or has industry specific professional certifications.
- Expert-level knowledge of building envelope systems, project management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- Excellent working knowledge of building science, code, standards and technical references with the ability to conduct independent research.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to clearly communicate architectural issues, verbally and in writing, to audiences with varying technical proficiency.
- Excellent with one-on-one client interactions and speaking/presenting in front of different sized audiences (virtual & in-person), .
- Strong business acumen, with experience in financial management, contract negotiation, and client relationship management.
- Ability to think strategically, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in risk management, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
- Desire to continually develop and refine technical knowledge through targeted continuing education.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Expected to maintain billable hours to the company standard.
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, etc.).
- Must pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
The position requires the following physical capabilities:
- Ability to attend meetings at various offices, field, and construction sites.
- Willingness and ability to perform observation and evaluation tasks in elevated and exposed conditions.
- Willingness and ability to perform observation and evaluation tasks in narrow, shallow, or confined conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods as required to perform design, reporting, and other analysis duties.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle.

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 135,000 USD per year(Washington Office)
110,000 - 135,000 USD per year(Oregon Office)
