System One is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager (Marine) for a permanent position located in Portland, OR.
The Senior Project Manager supports and oversees Engineering and Planning and has responsibility for overall project performance. Coordinates with customer representatives, regulatory bodies, project management teams, and production groups to ensure project overall success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Oversees development of object detail designs including technical specifications, general arrangement, lines, structures, outfitting, machinery, and piping systems, using ABS rules and USCG regulations.
- Review/Approve construction drawings, specifications and other engineering data for the build.
- Submits applications to ABS and USCG and obtain all required certificates and documentation for the objects in time to meet delivery schedule.
- Responsible for Project schedule and monthly updates, financial/budget reviews for respective project.
- Communicates with Director of Programs via project status reports and tracking of significant construction milestone events.
- Communicates with regulatory bodies, outside engineering firms, Owner’s rep, subcontractors, and other departments for each marine project.

Education and Experience Required:
- Minimum of five years (5) experience as a project manager
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience working in a shipyard or marine commercial fabrication
- Understanding of heavy structural steel fabrication techniques and processes
- Project Management certification (i.e. PMP or CPM)
