The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to support upcoming and ongoing highway engineering projects in our Ft. Lauderdale, FL office.
RS&H has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager within our Highway Engineering discipline in Fort Lauderdale to deliver major infrastructure transportation projects and manage contracts. You will play a pivotal role in the development of area-wide transportation projects and assist RS&H’s South Florida Highway Engineering Group in business development efforts. We are looking for a team member that has experience performing diverse and complex work tasks in areas of civil engineering, highway, interstate, and interchange design, and project and contract management. You will serve in a key project management or task lead role for multiple projects, while cultivating relationships with existing and new clients in South Florida and with other RS&H offices and industry partners. You will work closely with the Highway Engineering Discipline Leaders in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and staff in other disciplines to achieve project management and quality assurance goals, and work as a team to ensure a profitable operation and a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:
- Active and in good-standing Professional Engineering license in the state of Florida;
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university;
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of highway design and engineering experience including at least five years of direct project management experience;
- Experience in a project management role on transportation projects such as highway projects, interstate, and/or interchange design projects;
- Thorough knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) standards, policies and procedures;
- Requires strong attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently following general direction and oversight from leadership. Also requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner. Must possess the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
- Must have knowledge of the firm goals and strategies, professional demeanor, and ethical standards to serve as the primary source of all information concerning the project and RS&H.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Goals and Objectives:
- Serves as Project Manager, Engineer of Record, Task Lead, and/or client point of contact for existing and new engineering projects for clients such as FDOT Districts 4 and 6, Broward County, and other clients throughout Florida.
- Serves in a lead technical role for transportation highway, interstate, and interchange design projects.
- Responsible for performing Project Management duties and responsibilities for multiple contracts and task work orders including scope, schedule, and budget to produce quality work products and achieve client satisfaction.
- Maintains good working relationships with clients, and supports and participates in project pursuits, client marketing, and other marketing opportunities in coordination with RS&H priorities.
