Overview:
Olympic West Fire Protection, LLC (a Sentinel Safety & Security entity), a leader in the fire protection industry, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead projects to ensure successful outcomes for the company and our customers.
The Senior Project Manager is involved early in the project, working with management and other functional areas of the company to ensure a quality and efficient installation. The successful candidate will be responsible for project execution, budgeting, scheduling, and performance. Additionally, the candidate will manage the change order process for projects.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Management of large scale and complex active installation/contract jobs
- Coordinate project milestones with internal departments, such as estimating, design, purchasing, fabrication, and installation
- Lead internal project meetings, including meetings focused on project kickoff, job progress, design coordination, fabrication scheduling, budget to actual hours, etc.
- Oversees and communicates project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation
- Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure proper handover of job information and determine appropriate risk assessment through the life of the project
- Assist with establishing best practices and leading through example of execution
- Attend job site meetings as a company representative with a customer or other project stakeholders, such as general contractors
- Lead coordination of project close-out/commissioning of systems with Authority Having Jurisdiction, Owner, Architect/Engineer, General Contractor/Construction Manager, etc.
- Track, manage and approve all contract change orders
- Maintain accurate project progress/completion reports and ensure project logs and documentation files are maintained
- Use ERP system to manage performance on jobs
- Review job plans and stock-lists/cut-sheets to improve job efficiency
- Job site visits to review status and progression needed for successful timely completion
- Leading internal team initiatives and process enhancements
Senior Project Manager Qualifications:
- Direct work experience in project management (minimum of 10 years)
- Knowledge of fire protection or an allied specialty trade industry is required
- Involvement with overseeing teams and leading others
- Experience in project planning with a proven history of successfully executing commercial projects ranging from $100k to $5MM in revenue.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and applicable building codes are preferred
- Ability to problem solve and work through challenges that come up throughout the life of a project
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines
- Must be able to apply effective project management techniques to maximize job performance across all process stages
- Brings a coaching mindset to help mentor and support other team members
- Team oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communicator and ability to act as a facilitator for project meetings
- Proven experience in utilizing project management software
