Senior Project Manager - Electrical Design/Build - Houston, TX
Gryphon Oakwood are partnered with a growing Commercial and Industrial Design/Build Electrical contractor to bring an experienced Senior Project Manager to their team. The ideal candidate must have 7-10 years of leading large-scale design/build projects across a variety of markets (e.g. healthcare, education, high-rise commercial, warehouses, etc.). You will be responsible for projects up to $30M in size whilst assisting with the day-to-day development of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and submittals.
- Collaborate with Superintendents on construction drawings, material procurement, and site logistics.
- Conduct regular site visits, attend meetings, and address project-related issues.
- Prepare and submit all required project reports and documentation.
- Ensure project profitability and client satisfaction.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Track and forecast project costs.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports.
- Negotiate and administer contract changes.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Effectively communicate with clients, Superintendents, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Resolve project conflicts and issues proactively.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience leading electrical design/build projects.
- Proven experience in project management, including financial, people, and process management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in financial software, accounting principles, and contract administration.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong budget management, cost control, and scheduling expertise.
