Axient is seeking a senior level Project Manager to provide Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) functions in support of 96th Range Support Squadron (96 RANSS). This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL
What you will do...:- Prepare and understand schedules, be able to articulate cause and effect of schedule changes
- Coordinate/facilitate meetings and provide concise notes recapping Action Items generated during meetings
- Follow up on Action Items to keep program team focused and on schedule
- Will work closely with engineers and project director
- Basic understanding of DoD test and training activities
- Proficient in learning and absorbing knowledge from Senior Range Engineer
- In assisting the facility manager, coordinates with 96 TW/CE on modifications and repairs to real property facilities and structures within AOR. Submits Work Tasks for real property actions and coordinates 813 submittals for environmental approval.
- Manage and deconflict all training ranges across Eglin Test and Training Range (ETTR) for multiple users.
- Assist government Range Engineer with management of Land Use Agreements (ISSA, MOU, MOA, etc.) and provide key input on range configuration requests and impacts.
- Support coordination and execution of improvements and modernization to multiple test ranges w/in Santa Rosa Island (SRI) and all training ranges across ETTR.
- Coordinate with test/training customers on access to Eglin ranges w/in AOR.
- Conducts project planning briefings, design reviews, requirements reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), including assistance in the preparation and delivery of presentations.
- Proficient in conducting tours for test/training customers that provides information highlighting key capabilities and features of ranges w/in AOR.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience preferred. Substitution of experience for education considered with government approval.
- In-depth experience and knowledge of the ETTR, particularly focusing on Santa Rosa Island (SRI) and training sites, including their unique characteristics and operational requirements.
- Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with exceptional communication skills, enabling effective multitasking and seamless collaboration.
- Experience in Field Engineer roles, demonstrating proficiency in technical tasks, problem-solving, and project management within operational environments preferred.
- Experience of Microsoft Office products required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook. Proficient in utilizing various software tools to generate high-quality briefings and reports, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
- Experience with CSE, EDS, Tririga and/or other Government databases is highly desired.
- Must have an understanding of the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
- Must have the ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical/logistical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
- Proficient in learning and absorbing knowledge from Senior Range Training Manager to enhance skills and expertise.
- Proven track record in coordinating with multiple DOD entities, including 40 FLTS, 96 OSS, 46 TS, 1 SOW, 6RTB, O&MEOMS contractors, CE, SFS, and Environmental agencies, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment of objectives highly desired.
- Experience in Field Engineer roles, demonstrating proficiency in technical tasks, problem-solving, and project management within operational environments preferred.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of range activities conducted on Eglin SRI and other training ranges, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning is desirable.
- Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group
- Good organizational skills a must.
- Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
- Must be able to traverse multiple terrain types (ie, woods, sand, clay, asphalt runways) and lift in excess of 30lbs frequently.
- US Citizenship required.
