POSITION OVERVIEW
JGM is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in self-performing industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects exceed profitability expectations, are executed with safety as a top priority, and meet or exceed quality requirements while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical proficiency in structural steel fabrication and construction, and a proven track record of managing complex projects. Attention to detail, a safety-focused mindset, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Coordination
- Lead project planning efforts, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project requirements and expectations.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and resource allocation plans to ensure efficient execution.
Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, costs, and resources effectively to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services as needed.
- Oversee staffing requirements and assign tasks to project team members based on skills and expertise.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Implement quality control measures to ensure fabrication and erection processes meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Address any non-conformities or deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Risk Management and Mitigation
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project execution and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively monitor project progress and identify issues or deviations from the plan.
- Implement risk mitigation measures to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other adverse impacts.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical or related field.
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in self-performing industrial construction projects, including structural steel work, mechanical equipment installation, piping, and managing non-self-perform trades such as electrical and civil disciplines.
- Strong understanding of heavy industrial engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AISC, OSHA, AWS) governing structural steel construction.

- Must reside within a commutable distance to Downingtown, PA or be willing to relocate.
- Travel to various project sites required as needed. (35%-40% travel)
