BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 1,700 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION: Beacon Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager to run our custodial operations. Beacon Group's multi-million dollar custodial operation employs over a hundred of people with disabilities. Beacon provides custodial services all over Arizona. This is an opportunity for a Custodial manager to use their experience to deliver a mission much bigger than financial results. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to effectively manage people and business processes.
- Work independently and effectively with little direction and use good judgment when making decisions.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and write proposals.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, clients and the public.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to hire and develop a high performing staff.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prepare budgets and maintain expenses per budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years or more experience in services operations management with demonstrated success is required.
- Extensive knowledge of custodial processes and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience required.
- Solid history of developing people, programs and businesses required.
- Experience with government contracts is beneficial.
- Experience managing quality control systems is highly beneficial.
