**The Role**
As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of specific projects. You will collaborate closely with senior managers, sales, estimating, and engineering teams to align our clients' expectations with our company's policies and goals. Your ability to ask insightful questions, identify unstated assumptions, and resolve conflicts related to scheduling and fabrication issues will be crucial.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules with milestones, and critical paths that meet contractual obligations and the client's time requirements.
- Monitor accounts receivable, contact clients for non-payment, and ensure timely collection.
- Regularly review project budget status and take necessary actions to keep projects on or below budget.
- Manage and monitor the critical path on the master schedule, ensuring the Assistant Project Manager oversees all assigned aspects.
- Foster strong customer relationships by providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date with field trade technologies, methodologies, and concerns, understanding the productivity needed from each department to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure our installation teams have access to all necessary information, including shop drawings, specifications, scheduling details, and project site access.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to ensure successful project kickoff, mid-term progress, site readiness, and successful completion.
- Keep clients informed about project developments, including change orders, timeline adjustments, and other pertinent information.
- Maintain close relationships with the client's on-site personnel, continuously reviewing schedules, on-site conditions, field dimensions, and product details to ensure value delivery.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
**Education and Experience**
- 8+ years of experience in project management in the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in millwork or cabinet making (preferred)
- PMP certification or willingness to complete within 3 years of employment
