Design for Leisure (DFL) is a team of hydrothermal spa specialists working in partnership with owners, operators, architects, and designers to bring European-inspired hydrotherapy concepts to life. Our expertise in building best-in-class wet areas ranges from small but luxurious residential thermal suites with acclaimed hydrothermal circuits for 5-star hospitality projects and luxury commercial developments.
What We're Looking For:
DFL is looking for a Senior Project Manager willing to work in a fast-paced, multinational company. This position will require experience overseeing project managers, project execution, leading subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring progress and quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and design standards. This Senior Project Manager will take initiative of establishing process and procedure, developing process for day to day functions. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to join a growing company in the unique wellness industry, has exemplary organizational and leadership skills, with extensive experience in design and construction or related industries.
What Your Day Looks Like:
Lead team of project managers, assistant project managers, subcontractors, and technicians.
Lead and oversee all phases of project construction, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Establish process and procedures, SOP's, and develop daily process and process improvements throughout company departments to ensure project quality and customer satisfaction.
Spearhead the development and management of comprehensive project schedules and budgets, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Facilitate strong collaboration and communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Provide leadership in managing onsite construction activities, ensuring progress, quality control, and strict adherence to design specifications.
Enforce compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards, ensuring a culture of safety and excellence.
Lead and direct project meetings, offering critical project status updates, and resolving challenges to keep initiatives on track.
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience in project management with a focus on design and construction.
Strong knowledge and proven ability of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of design principles and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
Understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong comprehension of Mech/Elec./Plum. (MEP) requirements and trade practices
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Familiarity with project management software ( Procore, BuilderTrend).
Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
