The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction meetings and site walks to project execution and closeout. - Project Planning & Coordination:
- Oversee large-scale commercial roofing projects, including re-roofing and new construction.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scope.
- Lead pre-construction activities, including site walks, manufacturer meetings, and client coordination.
- Ensure proper material ordering and pre-construction setup to meet project timelines.
- Team Leadership:
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.
- Support superintendents by ensuring they have the necessary tools, resources, and direction to keep projects on track.
- Foster a 'lead from the front' mentality, actively engaging and motivating teams.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and trust throughout the project.
- Provide same-day responses to client concerns and requests.
- Lead client-facing meetings, including pre-construction meetings, progress updates, and final walkthroughs.
- Site Visits & Compliance:
- Regularly visit job sites to ensure safety, quality, and project progress.
- Verify compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct on-site inspections to address issues proactively and ensure smooth operations.
- Travel:
- Ability to travel for short overnight trips to oversee long-distance projects as required.
- Education & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience managing large-scale commercial roofing projects, including schools, districts, and hospitals.
- Proven track record of managing budgets ranging from $500,000 to $5M+.
- Experience with pre-construction processes, material ordering, and setup.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, modified roof systems, and metal roofs.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Center Point) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenges.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening process.
