Salary: $84,248 - $101,364
Location: 33 North High Street, Columbus, OH

Position Summary:
Performs highly professional work for successful delivery of a variety of IT and business-related projects for the Central Ohio Transit Authority.
Performs other duties in alignment with the 2019 - 2024 COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward.
This Position is Responsible For:
- Provides oversight on projects to ensure requirements, deliverables and timelines are met
- Interfaces & communicates directly with 3rd party contractor project manager as applicable
- Leads internal COTA project team consisting of part-time team members assigned by project stakeholder management; communicates with and schedules internal resources as needed to perform project assignments per the project schedule; escalates schedule conflicts and resource availability issues to project stakeholder management for resolution
- Schedules regular team meetings, documents meeting minutes, assigns and tracks performance of action items and communicates project status via monthly status reports and/or face to face meetings with internal project stakeholders
- Acts as Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for projects to ensure 3rd party contractor performs work at a quality level that meets COTA's requirements
- Engages internal resources as needed to verify quality performance & successful completion of deliverables & obtains COTA stakeholder sign-off approval on deliverables
- Maintains complete project documentation as required for Federal grant reporting purposes
- Coaches & provides training for the organization's Project Management capabilities & skills
- May be required to be available on a mobile device via voice/text during and outside of normal working hours at the manager's discretion, and must respond within a reasonable timeframe
- Manages and provides leadership of staff; hires, trains, develops and appraises staff effectively; ensures the organization meets its EEO responsibilities by assisting in identifying problem areas, participating in local minority organizations, participating in review of complaints alleging discrimination and supporting career counseling for employees; takes corrective action as necessary, on a timely basis, and in accordance with policy
At Minimum You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or related field
- Five (5) years of experience managing a wide range of complex projects
- PMP or ITIL certification preferred
- Knowledge of MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Skills in delivering presentations to management at all levels and to external audiences
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external resources to resolve potential conflicts and maintain a teamwork atmosphere
- Ability to define problems, research issues and develop logical and practical solutions within the framework of general principles of information technology project management and the policies and procedures of the organization
