We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of luxury retail construction projects in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Candidates must have a proven history of overseeing successful retail projects, driving quality results, and leading project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the successful completion of retail construction projects throughout all phases of construction
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all internal and external partners
- Manage all project costs to ensure profitability
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Lead project meetings with all stakeholders connected to a project: owner, owner representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and others
- Partner closely with Field Operations team members, and oversee other internal team members assigned to project
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices throughout the lifecycle of the project and approve for payment or negotiate appropriate changes
- Oversee change orders and RFIs, prepare as needed
- Keep consistent lines of communication open with clients and proactively share project progress and budget matters
- Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems in a solution-focused manner
- Ensure punch list completion
Qualifications and Requirements
- 8+ years of construction project management experience at a general contracting company
- Must have experience managing retail projects with high intensity and short-term duration of 12-16 weeks
- Experience being the sole lead on projects
- Musr be capable of performing buyout and leveling trades
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others
- Occasional travel as required for projects
- Experience with creating and processing RFI's using Procore or similar technology
- Scheduling proficiency and financial accountability
- Strong knowledge and established relationships with subcontractor market in the greater Boston market
- Presentation skills and ability to lead meetings
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Technical Skills
- Excellent MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills required
- Procore experience
- Proficiency with scheduling software like MS Project
- OSHA 30 preferred
