We are expanding our capabilities into enterprise AV solutions and seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale, multi-phased AV systems integration projects. This role will ensure that projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of AV integration projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, project requirements, and customer expectations.
- Project Documentation: Be a subject matter expert with contract documents, including project scopes of work, bid drawings and specifications, contracts, subcontractor scopes of work, and construction schedules.
- Scheduling & Resource Management: Create and manage a comprehensive work breakdown structure and project schedule, coordinating and verifying appropriate resource scheduling for all project phases.
- Kick-off Meetings: Facilitate both internal and external project kick-off meetings, ensuring all key participants are aligned and informed.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external project communication and documentation. Respond to customer communications regarding problems or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular job progress reports to all stakeholders. Acquire daily site progress reports from lead technicians and address needs as they arise.
- Procurement & Budget Management: Initiate the ordering of equipment and materials, manage distribution and shipping processes, and oversee all project expenditures to maintain alignment with the project budget.
- Change Order Management: Identify change order opportunities and work with Sales in scope, schedule, cost, or change of terms in accordance with HCI’s change order process.
- Quality Assurance: Supervise and verify the quality of work performed by internal teams and subcontractors. Facilitate testing and certification of installed systems.
- Project Closeout: Ensure all closeout/as-built documentation is completed and stored properly for future reference. Oversee the demonstration of system operation to clients upon project completion.
- Customer Relations: Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers, driving project results that meet customer requirements and enhance satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager within the AV, construction, or technology industries, with a strong understanding of project management best practices and processes.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in the installation and integration of Extron and Crestron systems.
- Basic installation experience with video conferencing systems such as Polycom, Tandberg, Lifesize, etc.
- Strong knowledge and installation experience with AV infrastructure components including projection screens, display mounts, ceiling speakers, wired microphones, and equipment racks.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification preferred. AVIXA General CTS certification is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and proficiency in MS Office and industry-related software.
- Other Requirements: Ability to travel to various job sites as required. Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet HCI’s driving standards.
What We Offer:
- Compensation: Competitive salary in the range of $120,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
