Position Description:
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Community Design Group to improve infrastructure in our Fort Worth office. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, a minimum of ten years of experience in project management and a Professional Engineer license. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Operational
oResponsible for financial performance of a division (office or practice area) of designated market segment
oTrack monthly workload to coordinate staffing needs with the Market Segment Lead (MSL) and recommend staff changes as needed
oMentor project managers
oTake on project manager assignments
oReview and approve all contracts and seek input from MSL as appropriate
oAccountable for project teams
oEffectively coordinate division (office or practice) activities with the MSL
oAccountable for Project Manager/Client Manager performance
oAccountable for pricing
oResponsible for client profitability
oAssist the Project Manager in A/R and invoicing
oApprove training/seminars and memberships with annual budget and coordinate with other Practice Leads/Senior Project Managers within the market segment
oResponsible for Utilization and Projects in Trouble
oApprove time sheets
oAccountable for consistent technical project approach across market segment
• Sales/Business Development
oResponsible for client satisfaction
oReview all proposal scope, pricing and other content
oSolicit input on major pursuits from MSL
oResponsible for division Sales
oResponsible for sales efforts, proposal preparation and presentations and budgets
oSolicit input from Practice Leads on specialty products
oCoordinate client entertainment activities
oResponsible for new client contact development
oReview RFPs and assign to the appropriate Project Manager
oCreate the best project teams
oResponsible for division growth initiatives
• Corporate
oIdentify and recommend training, seminars and conferences to MSL
oSupport the MSL in developing Business Plan goals
oMaintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
Skills/Experience:
- 10+ years of related experience required
- Licensed Professional Engineer required
