In search of dynamic team leader to spearhead our custom mechanical projects at our Lancaster County manufacturing facility. If you are interested in joining a high-growth, well established organization with outstanding growth opportunity, then this is an opportunity for you!
Responsibilities include custom engineering systems, project coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects on time and on budget, while remaining aligned with corporate strategy, commitments, and organizational objectives.
Duties:
- Working independently and in tandem with Sales, Plant Managers, Operations, manufacturing, vendors, Designers, Engineers, and Owners
- Project cycle, coordinating all input for bid to the customer, preparing detailed project budget and managing execution of the project to meet contract requirements on time and on budget.
- Help define the project scope, and deliverables.
- Plan, implement, manage budget, schedule, and project timeline.
- Take part in daily meeting, status updates.
- Work cross-functionally to forecast, quote generation, to help manage cost variances.
- Allocate project resources as needed.
- Implement process improvements.
- Establish accountability and scalability.
- Evaluate projects through a grading system and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree required
- Direct experience within manufacturing, preferably within an OSHA and/or ISO environment.
- Medical Device Industry a plus
- Exposure to supply chain, logistics and parts
- Direct labor costing experience
- 5+ year’s experience machinery, manufacturing, pharma equipment, and/or automated equipment.
- Exposure implementing or sustaining continuous or process improvements, preferred
- Proven ability to bring it all together & execute.
- Ability to read, interpret blueprints.
- Experience creating, implementing, SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) a plus.
- Experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer and/or Mechanical Engineer
- Must have at least (2) two of the following technical Skills: ERP systems, PRO-E, Solidworks, MRP, CRM, MS Office, MS Excel, Google doc’s.
- Superior communication skills (both written and oral) are required.
- Ability to push and drive for results.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Able to work within cross-functional groups.
Physical Requirements:
- Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.
- Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels.
