Job Description:
Our Award-Winning Client seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join their esteemed team, focusing on the development of advanced electro-mechanical and mechanical systems for aerospace applications. This position is a unique opportunity to lead technical teams and contribute to groundbreaking projects on next-generation military aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design, analysis, development, and validation of complex flight actuation control systems.
- Coordinate comprehensive development test programs and oversee the qualification of innovative products.
- Act as the primary technical interface with customers, preparing and delivering detailed presentations for design reviews and technical meetings.
- Track and report project status, ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, and technical scope.
- Manage project execution, ensuring lessons learned from previous programs are incorporated into future designs.
- Guide conceptual designs and support integration efforts for military-grade aerospace systems.
- Provide oversight for engineers and technicians, fostering collaboration and delivering high-quality solutions.
- Travel occasionally (5%) to support customer meetings and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in engineering design and development, with 3+ years in the aerospace industry.
- Experience managing cost, schedule, and scope for technical projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in a collaborative environment.
- Current U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation tools like Microsoft Project.
- Expertise in developing and testing electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic components for aerospace systems.
- Proficiency in the design, analysis, and development of complex systems.
