A growing manufacturing company in the Baltimore County area is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Manage job costing for complex construction projects (categorization, recording, analysis, monitoring).
- Oversee billings for complex accounts, ensuring compliance with contracts.
- Monitor project budgets, process vendor invoices, and maintain financial health awareness.
- Partner with project managers to provide financial insights.
- Generate monthly reports with risk assessments and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare special financial analyses upon request.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Strong accounting knowledge (Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of project accounting experience (construction industry a plus).
- Excellent organization and meticulous attention to detail.
- Superior written/verbal communication and ability to train junior staff.
- Thrives under pressure, meets tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and professional discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Adaptable and works independently with minimal supervision.
