WHO YOU ARE
A Senior Program Manager at SDL is a chief architect and collaborator with internal teams and external mission partners. They provide leadership to a team of highly technical engineers and scientists to ensure satellite mission success, understanding end-to-end development and delivery of satellite systems. They are analytical, responsive, and passionate. They are masters of team management, development and mentoring of staff, and conflict resolution, and can evaluate the health of a program, providing corrective action ahead of the problem. They are excellent communicators to internal and external technical and senior leaders, ensuring timely and accurate status reporting and accountability. They drive program execution by maintaining tight schedules, identifying and mitigating risk, prioritizing key program deliverables as well as effectively managing program resources, schedule, and budget. A Senior Program Manager at SDL is a champion of people and technology, a trusted and informed customer partner, and a demonstrated leader. This position will require:
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in program or project management in the space and satellite field, either government or industry
- Proven technical and business background in end-to-end space missions (spacecraft bus, payload, and ground operations)
- Established credibility in the space industry and existing relationships with leaders in the DoD and intelligence communities.
- Demonstrated success completing a multi-year program/project lifecycle (proposing, executing, delivering, and closing) in the space domain.
- Active Top Secret Clearance and eligible for SAP accesses
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in systems engineering and/or system architectures
- Deep knowledge of the DoD and IC space enterprise
- Familiarity with the USSF National Space Test and Training Complex
- Experience with planning, executing, and evaluating military test and training programs
- Experience with modeling and simulation of complex interactive environments
- Program management certification (PMP, or similar)

Salary ranges for this position: (Commensurate based on education and experience)
- Mid-level: $140,000 - $160,000
- Senior-level: $160,000 - $200,000
