The Azure Global Infrastructure team is looking for an experienced leader who can work closely with other Program Managers and Software Engineers to drive end-to-end success and further strengthen Azure's position as the most trusted cloud provider. You will play a critical role identifying the right investment opportunities for your engineering team and will collaborate with several partner organizations to deliver end-to-end solutions for our customers. Your ability to set well-defined KPIs to focus the team, prioritize the volume of incoming requests and clearly communicate our plan with partners, leadership team and customers will be vital to the team's success.
**Responsibilities**
In this cross-functional role, you will act as one of the Senior members of the team collaborating with a talented set of stakeholders across Microsoft to shape the Azure platform, drive platform and access safety and security. You will need a broad and deep understanding of our technical architecture and business strategy across Microsoft's entire platform and have a passion for understanding our customer requirements. This team is tackling challenging engineering and business problems within the broader organization - our work has high visibility with the Microsoft senior leadership team and many opportunities to share our successes and receive support and guidance. More specifically, you will:
+ Partner alongside a growing team of Program Managers and embody Microsoft's leadership principles by creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
+ Support execution of long-range planning and develop and delivery of the team's core objectives and key results.
+ Help build a customer execution strategy, including co-development approach with other Microsoft cloud, support, and customer experience teams.
+ Communicate product and business strategy and how the team's work aligns to broader goals.
+ Work directly with customers to understand their business requirements and help them make decisions related to their product investments in the Azure platform. You will take ownership of customer dissatisfaction on behalf of Microsoft and work to find a path to resolution, earning customer trust in the process.
+ Maintain trusted partnerships with senior leaders across a wide array of disciplines and teams.
+ Co-develop feature and product specifications including technical details, use cases, success metrics and delivery plans with engineers, for a portfolio of products.
+ Drive implementation in close partnership with engineering teams, including prioritization.
+ Gain trust and influence broad stakeholders including engineering teams, partner orgs and peers.
+ Set goals for customer adoption, regularly engage with customers to provide roadmap updates and deal with their tactical execution.
+ Engage with Marketing and Sales organizations for product promotion.
+ Be accountable for the prioritized roadmap by leveraging your team to work with internal and external customers to understand requirements, gaps, opportunities aligned with team and company vision.
+ Manage risks and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Report progress in objective and concise formats to senior management, while providing recommendations to accelerate progress.
+ Creatively resolve blocking issues and innovate to resolve customer pain points.
+ Deliver technical and high-level product presentations to internal and external audiences!
**Qualifications**
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ 6+ years of Program/Technical Product Management experience
+ Prior experience and working understanding of cloud-scale technologies.
+ Excellent cross-discipline leadership, collaboration and influencing skills. Lead, drive change and influence without authority across groups and executives
+ Ability to build relationships with, and influence, external customers, and partners.
+ Experience with building services on Azure or other cloud services
+ Experience in service engineering lifecycle and live site operation at cloud scale.
+ Knowledge of data governance and data security technologies, such as encryption, access control, access management, data management, threat management, incident response, risk management, privacy, and compliance, preferred.
+ Experience defining, measuring, innovating, and driving change in large-scale software products and systems.
+ Ability to concisely frame problems, design simple solutions and make decisions based on data and metrics.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate business problems, alternatives, and product strategy.
+ BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience, MBA desirable.
**Skills** **:**
+ Proven track record delivering across organizational boundaries in a highly matrix model and sustaining strong partnerships within and outside the organization. Ability to drive decisions, bring clarity to ambiguity, influence leadership, and manage business outcomes with pace.
+ Strong communication skills that can tailor content and concepts based on audience (internal stakeholders and with external customers), leadership levels, and disciplines (Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Partners)
+ Eagerness to learn new things in a fast-paced environment and discover emerging and new data trends.
+ Great attention to detail, results-oriented, excellent leadership and problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience managing complex design and delivery of cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ In-depth knowledge and understanding of cloud security, as well as security risk assessment and remediation methodologies.
+ Proven competency in strategic leadership, organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, drive for results, and written and verbal communications.
+ Experience building software products with diverse engineering teams and stakeholders.
+ Experience driving large, complex software programs and solutions with large virtual teams.
+ Proven ability to build successful partnerships and drive complex cross-group collaboration.
+ Experience with building businesses from scratch within large organizations, responsible for both inbound execution and outbound storytelling and customer engagement
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, experience with presentations to senior leadership teams as well as customers
+ Passion for strategic thinking, making data-driven decisions and driving innovation.
+ Ability to apply creativity, critical thinking, and solution focused, in a dynamic working environment.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
