CloudOptimal's mission is to help internal Microsoft services onboard and run efficiently on Azure to improve profitability, reduce spend and minimize the environmental impact of our Cloud. **Responsibilities** As the Internal Azure Spend Management Experience PM, your primary mission is to both work with internal teams to help them manage their own Azure spend, and partner with the internal tooling, platform and central Finance teams to map out and drive the overall the strategy and requirements for internal spend management governance, processes and tooling. Drawing on your data analytics (Kusto, DAX, SQL) and data reporting skills (using PowerBI, Excel and Powerpoint), you will be able to provide guidance to internal Azure users on how to leverage spend, subscription and ServiceTree data to generate actionable insights and improve their spend management practices. Similarly, you will leverage these skills to help identify and prioritize data-backed requirements to improve the overall spend management experience at Microsoft. You will also be responsible for improving, maintaining and creating derivative data sets to help with spend management (e.g. Dimension and metadata tables). Finally, the experience you develop will allow you to share knowledge with select large-scale third party customers, and help drive requirements into the Azure platform to improve the customer Azure spend management experience for all. **Qualifications** The CloudOptimal team is looking for someone who has a strong FinOps background (certification is a plus, but not necessary), has a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience in industry, is fluent with Program Management and data analysis, and is an excellent communicator. Critically, you have a passion for efficiency, controlling costs, reducing carbon emissions and driving improvement at scale with data. You also enjoy building relationships, technical problem-solving, participating in team successes, and advancing Microsoft's diversity and inclusion goals. **Required** **Qualifications** : + 3+ years of Product/Program Management experience. + 2+ years of Proficiency in data analytics (Kusto, DAX, SQL), PowerBI, Azure DevOps and Logic Apps/Microsoft Flow or equivalent is a significant plus. + 2+ years of FinOps (cloud cost management experience). **Preferred Qualifications:** + B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional years of work experience. + Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. **Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
